What it does
FF Drive copies selected artwork, visual references, character studies, and project notes from the Ferrous Few design repository into a designated staff folder in Google Drive. Git remains the version history; Drive provides a convenient place for the team to browse and download files.
The tool runs through GitHub Actions using rclone and a Google account explicitly authorized by its operator. It can list files, upload new files, update matching files, and check that published copies match their sources. The publishing workflow does not delete destination-only files or change sharing permissions.
Who uses it
FF Drive is operated by Ferrous Few for its own community design work. It is not a public sign-in service. Only the operator authorizes Google access; staff members use their existing Google Drive access to view the published files.
Google account access
The connection requests the Google Drive scope needed to access an existing shared folder. That permission is broader than the destination folder. The publishing workflow is configured to use the designated Design Framework folder; that configuration does not narrow the underlying OAuth grant.
Read our privacy policy for how data and credentials are handled, and how to revoke access.
